Interesting. My first class of jazz kids were heavily grieving this morning. Long discussion of how they felt. Then we made music. Very cathartic, so grief before joy. And music, sad or happy, is joy to make. I will be slamming a few beers and having a gummy. Then, as we basketball coaches say, “next play “, to not dwell on the last play but to focus on the future. My wife, who doesn’t like sports at all, will tell me when I’m frustrated or down, “next play”. It’ll be next play tomorrow and not tonight.

Thank you, Brian, sending you oodles of love
I can’t thank you enough. It feels like the end. But we all have kids / and their kids/ in this, literal or figurative, so we cannot quit.
Yes! Thank you, Brian
